The Farmer For The Day Tour gives children the experience of a day in the life of a farmer. The purpose of this tour is to enhance a child’s understanding of the hard work and dedication it takes to be a farmer. Participants will “work” around the farm experiencing various interactive learning stations. From each station, participants will gather products and eventually “sell” them at our farmer’s market where they will earn a Patterson Farm Buck that is redeemable for ice cream or water from our market. This tour follows the Common Core Curriculum.
Minimum of 10 paying guests/Maximum of 125 total Participants (Students, Parents, & Teachers).
If your group is expected to be larger than 125, please split your group and book two separate times on the same day. You all may arrive at the same time and play or eat lunch while waiting on your tour to begin.
New for 2025, we will be offering the option to see the Video prior to your tour in your classroom or facility. This option will allow you more time to enjoy the farm facilities while you are at the farm including our expanded Agmagination, an interactive discovery area to explore Ag Careers.

What is Agmagination?
Agmagination is our version of a dramatic play community dedicated to the careers involving agriculture. In Agmagination children will get to explore using dramatic play, a type of play where children engage in imaginative and pretend activities, assuming the jobs and responsibilities of those in a particular agricultural related career.
