Twice a year, during the Fall and Spring season we host Special Needs Days. Special Needs Day is designed for our staff to meet any special needs our guests may have. Special Needs Day is space is limited and is by reservation only.
Students will embark on a fun and educational journey through our pumpkin patch in fall and strawberry patch in the spring as they explore the life cycle of pumpkins or strawberries, from seed to harvest. The tour follows NC Curriculum objectives and is adapted to support various learning styles.
Recommended for: Preschool & up
Length of Tour:
Approximately 1 hour to 1.5 hours depending on group size.
Cost
Students/Participants: $9.00 (includes tax)
Teachers: FREE
Parents/Siblings: $9.00 per person (includes tax)
Children under 2: FREE
Teachers, parents & chaperones receive 10% off Market purchases.
Fall Special Needs Day

All tours include access to Pawpaw Carl’s Playground, our expanded Agmagination*** and Picnic Area. Participants are welcome to visit these areas prior to or after their tour.

Spring Strawberry Special Needs Day
The Strawberry Patch Tour is designed to introduce young students to the life cycle of a strawberry, the farming process, and the joy of harvesting their own fruit. Children will explore agriculture through fun, hands-on learning including strawberry picking, a wagon ride, a visit with our farm animals, and an educational presentation. This curriculum-aligned tour brings classroom concepts to life! Aligned with the Common Core Curriculum and designed to be fun and educational!
