Approximately 1 hour to 1.5 hours depending on group size.
Dirt on Dirt Tour Educational Objectives:
Get ready to dig into soil science with this hands-on, interactive farm tour designed to uncover the hidden world beneath our feet! The Dirt on Dirt Tour teaches students the vital role soil plays in supporting life—from growing crops to conserving our environment. Students explore soil’s properties, benefits, and challenges through tactile experiences that bring Earth science to life!

- Barn Theater Presentation – “The Dirt on Dirt” Educational Video: Option to view in the classroom prior to your trip for extended time on the farm
- Hands-on Activities
- Soil Sample Collection
- Water Absorption & Nutrients Experiment

- Classroom Soil Observation Kit for your class – For ongoing exploration after your trip
- Hands-on activity for students to complete in the classroom after their visit to the farm to reinforce lessons learned
All tours include access to Pawpaw Carl’s Playground, our expanded Agmagination*** and Picnic Area. Participants are welcome to visit these areas prior to or after their tour.
