Farmer in Training Junior Camp Counselor: Age 12 – 14
All campers must be completely potty trained & able to go to the restroom by themselves.

Farmer in Training Junior Camp Counselor:
$249 per child per week (4 spots available per week)
(Includes Camp activities, T Shirt, Snacks and Camp Bag)
$100 non-refundable deposit due at registration to reserve spot. Remaining balance due by 5:00pm the Friday before camp begins.

Welcome to Patterson Farm’s 2026 Summer Camp, where every week brings a brand-new twist on farm-filled fun! This summer, your camper will dive into all-new crafts, activities, and hands-on adventures designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and a love for life on the farm.
With exciting weekly themes like Farm to Table Week and Butterflies, Blooms, and Bugs Week, no two days are ever the same. Whether your child joined us for a previous camp or this is their first time, they’ll discover fresh experiences waiting in every barn, field, and classroom. From caring for animals and exploring crops to brand-new STEM challenges and outdoor games, each week blends our favorite traditions with creative updates that keep things fresh and fun.

Summer Camp 2026 Dates & Times
All Camps are Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
[ Please note all camp weeks will include barnyard animal interactions and agriculture activities. ]
Week 1: June 8 – 12, 2026: Field to Fork Adventure Week
Discover the journey from farm to table here at Patterson Farm! Campers will learn the basics of growing and harvesting food, try their hand at making delicious jams, and explore the art of creating tasty farm-fresh treats. With hands-on activities like planting, picking, and preparing, this camp is perfect for young foodies and aspiring farmers eager to experience the joys of food and farming!
Week 2: June 16 – 20, 2026: Ag Explorers Adventure Week
Embark on an unforgettable journey through the natural beauty of North Carolina here at Patterson Farm! Campers will hike trails, identify plants and wildlife, and learn about conservation and the wonders of agriculture. From hands-on nature crafts to outdoor survival basics, this camp is perfect for young adventurers and nature lovers ready to explore, discover, and fall in love with the great outdoors!
Week 3: June 22 – 26, 2026: Butterflies, Bugs and Blooms Week
Discover the fascinating world of insects, bugs, and critters at our bug-themed farm camp! Campers will explore the farm to learn about insects and their role in nature, go on critter hunts, and create bug-inspired crafts. From building bug habitats to buzzing through pollinator activities, this camp is perfect for kids who love hands-on adventures and getting up close with nature’s tiniest creatures!
Week 4: July 6 – 10, 2026: Farm Hands Homesteaders Adventure Week
Step back in time and discover the essentials of farm life at our homesteading and practical skills camp! Campers will learn the basics of farming, from planting seeds and tending animals to crafting homemade goods and practicing sustainable living. Hands-on activities like churning butter, building mini gardens, and exploring old-fashioned tools will inspire a deeper connection to the land. Perfect for kids ready to roll up their sleeves and embrace the art of simple living!
Week 5: July 13 – 17, 2026: The Crafty Farmer Adventure Week
Unleash your creativity this summer at our art camp, where the beauty of the farm becomes your inspiration! Campers will explore the outdoors, learn about farming, and create one-of-a-kind masterpieces using natural materials and farm themes. From painting and crafting to nature-based sculptures, each day is filled with hands-on fun and imaginative activities. Perfect for young artists who love to create and explore!
Week 6: July 20 – 24, 2026: Barnyard Buddies Adventure Week
Join us for a summer camp dedicated to the amazing world of farm animals! Campers will learn how to care for animals, discover the valuable commodities they provide, and explore how to respect and protect creatures of all shapes and sizes. From feeding and grooming to understanding their roles in nature, this camp is perfect for animal lovers ready for hands-on fun and meaningful connections with our barnyard friends!
Week 7: July 27 – 31, 2026: Ag Careers Explorers Week
Join us for a fun and interactive week where campers discover the wide world of agriculture and the many careers it offers. From science and technology to animals, food, and the environment — this camp introduces the exciting opportunities in today’s ag industry. Through hands-on activities, crafts and adventures, participants will explore how agriculture connects to everyday life and the future of our planet.
Summer Camp Hours:
Half Day: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Drop off from 7:45 – 8:00 a.m.
Early Drop off: available from 7:00 – 7:45 a.m. for $25 per person per week
Pick up from 12:00 – 12:15 p.m.
Late Pick up: available from 12:15 – 1:00 p.m. for $25 per person per week
For 2026, we have adjusted our camp schedule to better align with parents’ work schedules and to take advantage of the cooler morning temperatures. Campers will have a designated snack break each day; families may send a snack from home, or one will be provided. Because standard camp dismissal is at noon, lunch will not be served during regular camp hours. A designated lunch time will only be offered for campers who are registered for late dismissal. If staying for late dismissal, campers will need to bring their own meal.
