Fresh From the Farm – February Updates from Patterson Farm

Even though February may feel like a quieter month on the farm, there is so much happening behind the scenes as we prepare for a brand new spring season. The days are slowly getting longer, the fields are starting to wake up, and our team is hard at work getting everything ready to welcome you back on March 9th.

Here’s a little look at what’s been going on around Patterson Farm this month.

Farm Updates

Inside the market and around the farm, we are in full preparation mode.

We are currently hiring great additions to join our team for the upcoming season. Spring is one of our favorite times of year because of the amazing staff members who help create a fun and welcoming experience for every guest.

We’re also busy finalizing details for several exciting spring events that we can’t wait to share with you soon. There are so many fun things in the works, and we are counting down the days until we can officially announce everything.

Most importantly, we are getting ready to welcome guests back starting March 9th. We truly miss seeing families on the farm during the off-season, and we are so excited to open our gates again for another memorable spring.

February Adventures: Learning & Growing

While things were moving along at the farm, February also brought some incredible learning opportunities for us.

The highlight of my month was attending the NAFDMA Convention & Expo in Orlando, Florida. It was such a valuable experience connecting with farmers from across the country who are just as passionate about agritourism as we are.

We learned from industry professionals, gathered fresh ideas at the vendor trade show, and even participated in a farm tour where we visited three amazing farms. We are so grateful for their hospitality and willingness to share their knowledge. We came home inspired and full of ideas that we can’t wait to bring back to our farm, to better the experience for our staff and guests.

Another very special aspect of this trip was getting to bring my daughter for the first time. Attending conferences has been a tradition I have cherished each year with my parents, so it was really special getting to bring the next generation along with us this time.

Disney Institute Experience

Another unforgettable experience this month was the incredible opportunity to attend the Disney Institute with our office manager, Beth Ann.

We spent a full day learning about Disney’s standards of service and what makes their guest experience so exceptional. One of the most memorable parts of the workshop was getting to attend a behind-the-scenes tour at Magic Kingdom. Seeing how much intentionality goes into every detail was truly inspiring.

We learned so much and are incredibly excited to implement some of these concepts here at the farm to better serve our guests and create even more meaningful moments for your families.

I will never forget getting to “graduate” from the program with my Mickey ears on! It is a memory I will always treasure.

As February comes to a close, our excitement for spring continues to grow. From strawberry fields to tulip sprouts, from hiring staff to planning events, everything we do this time of year is with you in mind.

We can’t wait to welcome you back beginning March 9th and share another beautiful season together at Patterson Farm.
