Many of these farms have been rooted in Rowan County or surrounding areas for years and years, providing their fresh products for all to enjoy.
Denny Booe, Mike Borne, Buzzy Bee
Local honey in our market comes from three different beekeepers. Pure, raw honey provides an abundance of health benefits and helps prevent seasonal allergies. Denny Booe provides pure honey in squeeze bottles for our market. Buzzy Bee Farms also provides their jars of local honey for our market. Mike Borne is another local beekeeper that provides local honey for our market.

Midland Farms Soap
Midland Farms is another local farm featured in our market. Located in Midland, NC, they produce a variety of handmade goat’s milk soap like honeysuckle, coffee and cream, and lavender. Goat’s milk is full of vitamins and nutrients that are especially beneficial for people with dry skin or conditions like eczema or psoriasis. It is also a good option for those with healthy skin that want to keep it healthy. Every bar of soap is handmade and completely natural.
McLaughlin’s Country Store is located right down the road from us on Mooresville Hwy. They provide our market with homemade chicken salad, hoop cheese, and various cuts of meat. For years, they have provided Rowan County with meat from their butcher shop. They are committed to quality and customer service, bringing back loyal customers for years.
Conrad and Hinkle
Conrad and Hinkle was founded by W.E Conrad and E. Odell Hinkle and has been located in the same store since its opening in 1919 on North Main Street in Lexington, North Carolina. Although the store has been renovated, the original tin ceiling and concrete floors are still there today. They have been making their famous pimento cheese every day for the past 70 years. It pairs great with crackers, burgers, or just plain white bread! This handmade delicacy can be found in our market in two different sizes.
Homestead Creamery located in Virginia provides our market with milk and butter made by their own cows. They raise their cows with pride and believe that providing clean, healthy living conditions for them provides higher quality products. They provide fresh products by delivering the milk to the creamery within a day. Their milks are available in 16 different flavors to choose from. Although we currently do not carry all 16 in our market, we do have a wide selection! We also carry their lemonade in our market for those hot summer days! Bring your glass bottles back to the farm to receive $2 off of your next purchase. We receive deliveries from Homestead Creamery on Thursdays.
Hoffner Organic Meat
Hoffner Organic Farm is a Mt. Ulla farm that has been family owned since 1956. It was the first dairy farms in the state to become certified organic. This means that their cattle are humanely raised, lean, available year-round, locally processed, and vacuum sealed. We are proud to partner with this small, family-owned farm that also calls Rowan County home.
North State Candle Company
North State Candle Company provides our market with small-batch, hand-poured Soy candles made right here in North Carolina. They offer jar candles in 3 different sizes, wax melts, and room refresher sprays in a scent that is perfect for everyone. Their strawberry-scented candle is the perfect purchase to go along with a basket of our fresh strawberries and really get into the strawberry spirit!
Cauble Creek Vineyard
Cauble Creek Vineyard provides our market with non-alcoholic cider. Located right down the road in Salisbury, NC. Along with ciders, Cauble Creek Vineyard also makes their own wine with grapes grown on their farm. This farm has been in the Cauble family for generations and the winery was actually the 100th Winery in North Carolina.
McCombs and Company
McCombs and Company located in downtown Spencer, NC supplies our market with their famous pimento cheese and chicken salad. Verne McCombs started making their pimento cheese in 1958 with his cousins. At one point, he was producing 150 pounds of pimento cheese a week! Verne’s niece still runs the store today to keep the legendary pimento cheese around. We are proud to house some of their products in our market!
Produce is always local!
All produce is our market is guaranteed to be fresh for you! If we do not grow it ourselves, we partner with other local farms to provide the freshest produce in Rowan County. Here at Patterson, we grow our own strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, pumpkins, watermelon, corn, and beans and they can be found in our market when they are in season. With our fresh produce, we are also able to produce our own jams and jellies, chow chow, relishes, and pickles. Our chickens on the farm also supply our market with fresh eggs.
