Recommended for: Preschool- 2nd Grade
Length of Tour: Approximately 1 hour to 1.5 hours depending on group size.
Join us for the Buzz on Bees Tour, an engaging and educational experience that explores the fascinating world of honeybees. Participants will learn about the different roles within a hive, including the queen, worker, and drone bees, as well as the bee life cycle and their essential behaviors. This tour highlights the crucial role bees play in pollination, helping farms grow the fruits and vegetables we rely on every day.
Minimum of 10 paying guests/Maximum of 125 total Participants (Students, Parents, & Teachers).
If your group is expected to be larger than 125, please split your group and book two separate times on the same day. You all may arrive at the same time and play or eat lunch while waiting on your tour to begin.
Tour Includes:
- Barnyard Theater Presentation: A lesson on the Honeybee
- Visit to The Barnyard to feed animals
- Visit a Bee Observation Hive
- Learn the parts of a bee
- Hands on Activity on Pollination
- New for 2025: Hands on Activity Kits to take to your classroom to reinforce lessons learned on the farm.
- An Activity Book per student
- Just For Teachers: Pre and Post activities to reinforce tour activities.
Before or after your educational field trip, participants are welcome to enjoy Pawpaw Carl’s Playground and picnic area. Please allow time for this as it is not included in your educational field trip experience.
