Minimum of 10 paying guests/Maximum of 50 total Participants (Students, Parents, & Teachers)

We have taken enhanced health and safety measures. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present.  to  We kindly ask that you not visit us if you are feeling sick or have been exposed to COVID-19. We are excited about this fall season and want our staff and visitors to be safe and have fun!

Note: Some experiences may be modified, limited in capacity, or subject to closure based on guidance from health and safety experts and government officials. We are following all current recommendations to keep others safe and appreciate our visitors following recommended guidelines.

$10.00 (includes tax) for basic Mining Mix

Children under 2 admitted FREE   (No Free Mining Rough)
All attending parents and siblings (24 months and older) must pay.
Teachers & Paid Staff: Free Admittance*

teachers-buttonStudents will participate in an interactive outdoor classroom learning and investigating the differences between rocks and minerals and the life cycle of rocks. Students will have a hands-on learning experience at the Mining Sluice, where they will discover and identify various minerals and gemstones. Our Mining Sluice is a lesson in itself! Hand-built and designed specifically for our farm using old farm equipment, the sluice itself is an opportunity to learn about farm history. After each student discovers their gems they will be given an identification card to accurately identify exactly what they found. This tour follows the Core Curriculum and will last approximately one hour.

*Your tour group is welcome to enjoy Pawpaw Carl’s Playground and Picnic Area before or after your tour.
