Description
Farming and agriculture are deeply rooted in North Carolina history. During this tour students will learn
about the history and importance of North Carolina farming, different crops and commodities produced by
our state, as well as the evolution of technology used by farmers.. This tour follows the Core Curriculum
and will last approximately one hour.
Tour Includes:
• Barn Theater featuring “ The Past, Present & Future of Farming” featuring Rowan County Farmers
• Hands on Activities
o History of NC Farming & Its Importance
o The Impact of NC Farming
o Evolution of Farming Technology
o NC Crops and Commodities
• Farm Fun take away to reinforce lessons learned.
